Methodology

We retrieve the published datasets from US Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA APHIS) directly, keep an immutable dated copy of every file we retrieve, and build these pages from that copy.

• Every page shows the as-of date of each dataset behind it.
• Findings are shown as the authority wrote them. Any plain-English explanation appears beside the official text, never in place of it.
• Where a facility has formally disputed a citation, we say so on the page.
• A finding with no source text is not published at all.

A record here reflects what the authority published on the as-of date. Facilities change, and records are corrected. Always check the authority for the current position before acting.
